Your Gift for Christ’s Gospel will make a real difference in someone’s life. Just recently I picked up a copy of the “New Yorker” magazine. The front cover opens to show the ascent (or descent) of man. The artist has done his work well. Man is shown as a monkey developing through the ages into a sophisticated 21st Century human. The last scene is a let down, if ever there was one. The smart homo-sapien, dressed in a sharp suit, is shown falling off the escalator to his doom below! So much for progress and that quality called hope. It is little wonder that millions, brain washed by the meaninglessness of life, live lives of quiet desperation.

The solution to mankind’s state of despair (the result of the death of hope), is not more lectures on politics, economics, or human philosophies. It is the revelation of the good news of Jesus. A knowledge of the Gospel tells us where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going. This very good news tells me that I am not the product of blind chance, but a child of God bound for glory.

Your gift will make it possible for people locked in the despair of a meaningless existence to hear the Good News of Christ.
