STARTING AGAIN: WHY CHANGE CAN BE GOOD

Dear Friend,

Settling down is comfortable.  It is not, however, always good for the Gospel.  That’s why the Spirit kept the Apostles on the move.

We have been at the Arcadia headquarters for 14 years, the same amount of time Jacob served for Rachel!  We have been blessed by the presence of many dear friends.  This sojourn has been a part of God’s plan for us.  From Arcadia, we have gone to Russia, Ukraine, South Africa, India, Hong Kong, the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.  Also we have explored Bogota, Colombia.

To His glory, we report that thousands have come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Millions have attended our meetings, the skeptics have been silenced, and we have been eyewitnesses of the miracle working grace of God.  In one recent outdoor campaign, a great white dove swooped low over the audience who rejoiced that God had visited His people.  We have seen His glory.

Now the time has come for us to leave Arcadia.  We do this with the firm conviction that God is leading us.  We do this for many reasons, the chief one being that we will have a greater opportunity to save souls.  We are cutting free from debt and financial burden.  We want to be free to use our limited resources to do the most good, for His glory, “while it is still day.”
We are driven by the love of Christ and the urgency of the hour.  Events convince us that Jesus is coming soon.  The sands of time are running out.  Please review with me the present events that are sounding a warning call.

  1. The growing insanity of nations — North Korea, Iran, and the Middle East to mention but a few.  Each has the potential to be a smoldering nuclear powder keg.  Russia and the West are again in conflict.
  2. The collapse of Biblical morality — One senior White House figure recently applauded transgender relationships and advocated a form of marriage that would have scandalized the Founding Fathers.
  3. The scant perceived erosion of the U.S. Constitution and the blatant eradication of personal liberties.
  4. The growing number of natural disasters, as the Earth “waxes old like a garment.”
  5. The spread of the Gospel in spite of manmade religions and totalitarian systems. Atheistic China is on track to become the nation with the largest number of Christians.  Who would have thought it?
  6. The growing influence of the Vatican lead by a charismatic Jesuit with a mission to control the world.  (Do we still believe the prophecies?)
  7. Erupting violence around the world as the Law of God is set aside.  World leaders are baffled, not recognizing that their shameless pronouncements have broken down the wall of safety.
These events tell us that we cannot continue on as we have.  The SIGNS demand a new commitment, a greater VISION.

It is our purpose and mission to continue to work to spread the true Gospel of Christ.  (There are many Gospels but only one TRUE one.)  We dedicate ourselves to this unfinished task.  As my old and dear friend Pastor Marshall Kelly sings so beautifully, “Do you know the world is dying for the story of His love?”

We pray that you will continue to partner with us.  Coming events cast their shadows on our pathway.  The light from the Cross shows us the way.  The journey continues.

Please write to me, enclosing your gift for evangelism.  Please write today.  Please partner with us, for Jesus’ sake.

With a thousand thanks,
May God bless you over and beyond all you can ask or think.
Yours in the Blessed Hope,
