1. RUSSIA
Our work in Russia started in 1991, in a theater just down the road from the Kremlin. This was the first evangelistic series by a foreigner in the Soviet Union. Great crowds attended, the intelligentsia of Russian society. Thousands gave their lives to Christ. Pastor Carter was featured on Soviet television.
The year 1992 made history. The Carter Report moved to Nizhny Novgorod, the home of the great Soviet dissident Andre Sakharov. Huge crowds packed the cavernous Palace of Sport. A violent attempt to close down the meetings by hooligans was thwarted by Governor Boris Nemtsov who became our sincere friend, especially after the baptism of his beloved sister, Julia. Boris was later murdered in Moscow.
Even the leaders of the KGB attended The Carter Report meetings, inviting Pastor Carter to preach to 1,000 KGB officers. Three thousand precious souls were baptized in the chilly waters of the Volga River after the 1992 campaign. Many churches were established. During the following years, great citywide campaigns were conducted in the principal cities of Russia and Ukraine. All this was done without a dime from the church organization. People who believed in this work sent love offerings and all the bills were paid. MILLIONS of DOLLARS came from supporters like you. Together with God we did it. Since then John Carter has returned to the former Soviet Union 42 times. He and his team finish what they start.

2. UKRAINE
During 1995 John Carter moved to Kiev, Ukraine. There was great opposition. The archbishop who said, “John Carter will preach here only over my dead body,” proved himself to be a prophet. He dropped dead just before Pastor Carter stood up to preach. Riots followed. While fierce opposition continued, The Carter Report team soldiered on at the risk of life and limb and baptized 3,520 souls in the Dnieper River. Many churches were established.
After Kiev, The Carter Report conducted great campaigns in many of the principal cities of Ukraine, including Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Odessa and Kharkov.

3. INDIA
“It can’t be done, it won’t be done,” said the naysayers — but it was. THE FIRST EVER FULL SCALE CITYWIDE EVANGELISTIC CAMPAIGN WAS CONDUCTED IN VISAKHAPATNAM, INDIA. Thirty thousand Hindus and Moslems listened spellbound as Pastor Carter and his faithful team proclaimed Christ’s Gospel. Thousands came to Christ. The Carter Report now broadcasts on India TV and maintains staff and an office.

4. AFRICA
The Carter Report team doesn’t go to easy places but hard dangerous places, like Johannesburg, the most dangerous city in Africa, the most dangerous continent on Earth. Traffic jams ensued as The Carter Report meetings commenced. For the first time in South African history, the hard to reach sophisticated Afrikaans thronged the theater to hear the truths of the Three Angels’ Messages. Nothing is impossible if we believe God’s Word and obey it.
5. THE ISLES OF THE SEA
The Solomon Islands was a place of headhunters and cannibals. It still remains in places a bastion of devils and demons. The Carter Report team hired an outdoor football stadium, which was packed for the meetings. One night as Pastor Carter unmasked the Devil and his evil angels, a mighty wind attacked the meetings. The evangelist, drenched to the skin by a driving rain, preached on. One night an invisible hand was placed on his shoulder. Hundreds were baptized in a crocodile infested river.

6. PAPUA NEW GUINEA
Once an abode of evil spirits, it still remains a dangerous place. The capital, Port Moresby, is the most dangerous city in the world. The Carter Report team conducted outdoor meetings and more than 100,000 attended nightly. Just down the road, thousands more gathered to listen. John Carter preached in wind, rain, and fair weather. More than 3,000 souls were baptized with another 3,000 crying out for baptism.
7. EL SALVADOR
More recently The Carter Report team hired the largest football stadium in Central America.
Fifty-two thousand souls filled the arena. Pastor Carter preached with power to a crowd of spiritually hungry Latinos and thousands came to Christ. Five thousand precious souls were baptized. El Salvador has a reputation for gangs, drugs and violence, but peace filled the stadium as Christ was glorified.
