January 2016

This stubborn man has been at it for more than 54 years.  He has not been paid by the Church for more than 10 years.  We asked him why he continues to  preach, often in the most dangerous conditions.
Q:  What is your driving motivation?
A:  The Biblical truth that only Jesus Christ saves and that people need to hear the Gospel.  See Acts 4:12.
Q:  Is this not an offensive, politically incorrect idea?
A:  To many it is.  I believe that Jesus alone is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one can be saved except through Him.  That’s what Jesus said.  Read it for yourself in John 14:6.
Q:  But don’t many roads lead to heaven?
A:  Many roads lead to hell, but only Christ is the way to eternal life.  Read it in John 10:7-10.
Q:  Don’t most church people think that public evangelism is finished?
A:  Many do and the consequences are plain to see.  In the Western world the church is shrinking while the Muslims are growing.  When I visited Australia recently, only one person shared his faith with me, and that person was a Muslim taxi driver.  I certainly shared my faith with him.

During January, Pastor John Carter with Carter Report team member Daniel Burgos will be visiting Russia and Ukraine, two former allies now locked in conflict.  In many ways Russia has gone back to the bad old days of the Soviet Union.  This could be a perilous journey.  Please pray for them. Temperatures will be sub-zero.  Travel will be difficult.  Public meetings will be held in Nizhni Novgorod and Kiev.  Because of the current hostile relations between Russia and Ukraine, it is now impossible to fly between both nations.  It is now necessary to enter each country from a neutral city.
John Carter was the first foreign pastor to hold an evangelistic campaign in the Soviet Union.  That took place in Moscow in 1991.  The Carter Report team has since conducted citywide campaigns in the great cities of both Russia and Ukraine.  Millions have attended, hundreds of thousands have accepted Christ, and tens of thousands have been baptized.  We say, “TO GOD BE THE GLORY, GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE.”
This is Pastor Carter’s 43rd visit to Russia and Ukraine.
Why go to Russia when terrorist activities are increasing around the world? Because Jesus has promised, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” God’s servants are immortal until their work on earth is done.

England, once the powerhouse of the Protestant Reformation, is now home to more than three million Muslims.  Between 2011 and 2013 they grew by 600,000 or 25,000 every month. They are not, however, the fastest growing group. That honor is reserved for the anti-religionists — the Atheists, the Agnostics, and the disciples of Richard Dawkins.
England is in big trouble. Unless present trends are reversed, England as a Christian nation will cease to exist. She will sink into the black hole of fanaticism, meaninglessness, and lawlessness.
Unlike most Christians, Muslims have a passion for sharing their faith. Christians must now recapture the zeal of Latimer, Ridley, John and Charles Wesley, George Whitfield, General Booth, Charles Spurgeon, and many other great evangelical Englishmen and women.
The Carter Report and 3ABN are joining forces for the evangelization of London. LET ALL NOW COME TO THE HELP OF THE LORD.
You can help evangelize London in three ways:
1. By giving your financial gifts,
2. By praying for England,
3. By joining us as a team member.

35,000 souls in the British Isles call themselves Adventist Christians.  They trust in Christ alone for salvation and worship on the Lord’s Day (the 7th Day Sabbath.)  They are spiritual descendants of the great English Protestant Reformers.  We salute them, the Keepers of the Holy Flame.

As the big GOD goes out, all the little gods come in, but when the big GOD comes in, all the little gods go out.

The Carter Report is one of the last Christian Adventist ministries still standing in India, home to more than a billion people and a million gods. We have two major projects:
1. We are broadcasting during prime time on India TV. It is a miracle this is happening. The Carter Report is well known in that certain city, and the people want us to return. For security reasons, we can say no more.
2. We are developing a program called, “Touch an Untouchable.” We are providing food, clothing, and education for a number of untouchable little children. The cost per child is $600.00 per year. Many of our friends and supporters will want to help these beautiful children of God who are so despised and abused by promoters of the Caste System.
Big government, whether secular or religious, is invariably inefficient and incompetent.  All God wants are a few good men and women, filled with the Holy Spirit. Will you be one of God’s men and women?

One of the churches we support. This church building was sponsored by Pam and Jimmy Rhodes from Tennessee, and Ed and Mary Fletcher from California, USA.

We are now sponsoring TEN evangelistic campaigns in Communist Cuba.  While President Obama’s administration has moved to normalize relations with Cuba, not much has changed.  Preaching outside of church buildings is still forbidden.
We gave to church leaders enough money for TEN evangelistic campaigns.  We promised them that more funds would follow as God opened doors and souls were won to Christ.  We plan to return and help share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Harold Harker, Carter Report Overseas Manager, will help to lead out in this work.
We saw the mighty hand of God in Moscow.  We believe we will yet see His hand in Havana.  Please pray for Cuba.

The best days for God’s Church are coming soon.  Two reasons why this is true:
1. Christ Himself founded the Church and guaranteed its success.  The Church is built upon the Rock of Ages, and nothing (including ISIS) can destroy it.  See Matthew 16: 13-19.
2. The final triumph of the Church is pictured in Revelation where a vast number of saved Christian souls are seen.  The Redeemed, a multitude too large to number, is composed of people from every nation.  See Revelation 7:9.

1. Forgive people who mistreat you.  God only forgives those who forgive others.
2. Don’t hang on to grudges.  Holding a grudge is like drinking poison to get even with the person who hurt you.
3. Walk on the sunny side.  Avoid criticizers and complainers.
4. Laugh lots.  It’s good for your stomach and the rest of your body.
5. Read your Bible everyday, especially the Four Gospels.
6. Attend a church where Christ is preached.  Not all churches are created equal.
7. Never lie.  Be honest.  Be honorable.
8. Be generous.  Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
9. Accept God’s forgiveness, and do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
10. Get involved in the advancement of a cause greater than yourself.  The Gospel of Christ is the greatest cause of all.
Remember what Honest Abe said, “Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”
“...if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”  ~2 Cor. 5:17 NIV

These are the END TIMES as predicted. Signs include:
1. ISIS and the demons from the Bottomless Pit.  See Revelation 9:1-3.
2. Worldwide terrorism.
3. The coming financial meltdown.
4. The war against God’s Law as the US Supreme Court redefines marriage.
5. The growth of militant ISLAM.
6. The Gospel explosion in China, Latin America, and Africa.
7. Increasing natural disasters.
8. The persecution of Christians worldwide—burning churches.
9. The Papacy moves into position.
10. Nuclear proliferation—it only takes one miscalculation.
