"Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. (This “gentleness” doesn't mean weakness but a “gentle strength.”) The Lord is at hand. (He is always near and is soon to return.) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." – Philippians 4:4-7
When we look around the world, we see much to distress us: wars, pestilences and despicable crimes against both children and adults. We see the injustice of “evil” winning so often in our governments, which are controlled by lobbyists and top moneyed people who influence behind the scenes. To this observer, it seems as if the mighty dollar is still ruling the world, although I have just watched a video that, if true, predicts that the dollar’s rule will soon end. While the video is mainly about the financial condition of the United States, which also affects the rest of the world, its predictions align closely with those of Bible prophecy.
In his book, “The Death of Money,” Jim Rickards (a CIA Asymmetric Warfare Advisor) reveals that all 16 US Intelligence Agencies have begun to prepare for World War III. If you cannot get the book, I would encourage you to watch the video, which is an interview with Jim Rickards.
The Bible says a great time of trouble is coming upon the earth, and I believe that a catastrophic worldwide financial crisis will be one of its causes. The moral breakdown of society is another cause.
We Christians, as never before, need to be studying the Bible, and we need to be sharing the wonderful message of Revelation 14. Through Bible study and prayer, we can develop a personal relationship with Christ and a better understanding of Bible prophecy. Accordingly, we should not be overcome by anxiety; rather, we should have peace in Christ.
Ellen White wrote many years ago: "Only those who have fortified their minds with the Word of God will stand in the last great conflict."
Dear friends, the beginning of that great conflict is upon us!
"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." – Luke 21:28
God's Word is like refreshing rain
That waters crops and seeds;
It brings new life to open hearts,
And meets us in our need. – Sper
As we read God's Word, He will fill our hearts with peace and hope, and His words will keep us firm and steady through the “storms” ahead.
May His peace and love fill our hearts today and always.
